Mum's Love Children's Home is a charitable organization founded in late November 2013 by Alice M. Kanini. Before founding the organization Alice Kanini was business Lady. She used to sell second hand cloths (mtumba) within her residential area in soweto slums and offices in Nairobi city.
The start of supporting abandoned, orphans, vulnarable children, street children and elderly persons; was as a result of the need she show within her locality. This prompted her from the little profit she could make, start buying some little foodstuffs for them, learning materials for school outgoing children and cloths. In the same year 2013 Alice was compled to reintergrate 2 abandoned and negleted vulnerable children in her small tiny ironsheet house in soweto Nairobi after getting Community Based Organization (CBO) Kenyan goverment certificate and children department offices obligation.
In the late year 2013 to early 2014 the children population number had already increased to 20 orphans and abandoned children (ages 1 {one} month to 6 {six} years) of both gender. Alice was forced to expand her house to gather for more children, good enough Alice was living in her mother inherited land, with the support of the organization management and community.
Since 2013 to date Mum's Love Children's home has benefited over 635 children who have already being intergrated and united to their Kinship. Currently we are caring for 44 abandoned, orphans and vulnerable children who are fully intergrated in the institution by providing foodstuffs, education, shelter, health, mentorship, clothing and second chance for love to become better tomorrows leaders in the universe.
Mum's Love Children's Home depends entirely on monitory and Kind donations. We solicit and get our operation resources through individuals, social media platform, churches, youth groups, universities groups, agencies, women groups and the surrounding community.
